Abstract

Crimson flares through twilight veils,
A firestorm caught in painted trails.
Each streak a pulse, a whispered fight,
Of chaos yearning to become light.

This work sits firmly within the abstract expressionist genre, driven by emotion and gesture. Bold strokes of red, yellow, and cyan slash across a violet ground, employing scraping and impasto to convey movement and inner intensity. The use of acrylics on canvas allows for layering and dynamic contrasts in texture. It’s a visceral, spontaneous composition where color becomes both form and feeling.
