This acrylics on canvas work blends figurative and abstract elements, typical of expressive contemporary nudes. Broad brushstrokes and intense colour contrasts evoke emotional depth while retaining anatomical suggestion. The genre sits within modern figurative expressionism. The technique embraces gesture, saturation, and layering to communicate vulnerability and introspection.

This painting was created during my three-week workshop in Salzburg, a profoundly inspiring experience that deepened my connection with the expressive human form and the emotive possibilities of colour.
