Artist’s Note
This artwork was executed using the traditional fresco technique, uniquely applied to a wooden board rather than plaster. The figures and landscape were painted with pigments absorbed into a specially prepared wet ground, creating a vibrant, matte finish with a sense of permanence and softness. The process demanded speed, precision, and an intuitive feel for form—qualities that echo the classical roots of fresco painting, reimagined here in a more intimate, portable format.
